RRR delayed due to rise of Covid-19 cases in India; makers confirmed with official statement

RRR one of the most awaited films has been postponed by the makers just a week ahead of its release. The makers of the film have announced that due to the rise of Covid-19 cases in India, they were bound to shift the release of their film from January 7th, 2022.

According to the latest statement released by the makers of RRR; it is evident that the release of the film has been officially delayed. The movie starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt has been in the headlines ever since its announcement.  However, as there is a rapid rise in the Covid-19 cases once again the film will now be released super soon, though the official date of the release hasn't been announced yet by the makers.

The film will be released in multiple languages, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kanada, and Malayalam which is directed by Bahubali fame SS Rajamouli. 

"Keeping the best interests of all the involved parties in mind, we are forced to postpone our film. Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love. #RRRPostponed #RRRMovie"

Further, the post shared by RRR team read as, "Inspite our relentless efforts some situations are beyond our control. As many Indian states are closing theatres, we are left with no choice but to ask you to hold on to your excitement. We promise to bring back the Glory of Indian Cinema and at the right time, WE WILL".

The decision of the film delay came after the Delhi government ordered to close movie theaters with immediate effect as a result of the high rise of Covid-19 cases.

Other than movie theaters, the Delhi government also announced the closure of wellness centers, gyms, spas, and other public gatherings were limited.

Prior to RRR; Shahid Kapoor starter Jersey which was scheduled to release on December 31st was delayed due to the same situation.
