SALMAN KHAN-KARAN JOHAR'S FILM 'KESAR' STARRING AKSHAY KUMAR IS BASED ON BATTLE OF SARAGARHI

There was a buzz that Salman Khan has opted out of the project "Kesar". This year the three biggies of Bollywood, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar decided to join hands for a big project. This news was a pleasant surprise for their fans. Karan and Salman joined hands in producing a film featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead. But, rumors were that Salman had opted out of the project. There was a proximity that Ajay Devgan who is also making a film on The Battle Of Saragarhi and this made Salman to opt out of this project. But as mentioned earlier they were just rumors. Salman tweeted and informed his fans, "Don't follow rumors. follow me. ek baar jo maine commitment kar di to phir.......vry much doing film with @akshaykumar."

When Akshay Kumar was asked about it, he said in an interview, "The film is not shelved. It is happening. (And) that is not decided yet. It's still going on." One more actor, Randeep Hooda is working on the similar project under Rajkumar Santoshi and their project is already in pipeline. When Ajay Devgan was asked about the rumors of his project on war film, he said that he will make a film on Battle Of Saragarhi as well, irrespective of who else is making a film on the same project. Looking forward, dharma Production is backing Akshay Kumar's powers and it is clear that he heading in the race. Akshay Kumar is playing a Hawaldaar, Ishar Singh, the military commander of 21 Sikh regiment, who on September 12, 1897, fought bravely against Afghani invaders in the war which came to be known as the "Battle Of Saragarhi".

Akshay Kumar is talk of Bollywood for his back to back movies and Blockbuster Hits. He completes the shooting before its schedule and prepares himself for his next project. His latest release was "Toilet : Ek Prem Katha", was based on the "Swach Bharat Abhiyaan", a campaign run by the PM Narender Modi for the cleaniliness of India. The movie did well and earned more than 100 crores on Box Office. His next project is "Padman" which he is doing under the production of his own wife Twinkle Khanna. This movie is also based on the mensural hygiene. It is confirm that Akshay is more into making the movies on social issues of the society.
