Samantha Ruth Prabh looks ravishing as Shankunta as she unveils the first look poster of 'Shaakuntalam'
Samantha Ruth Prabhu's fans may finally rejoice, as the first poster for the much-anticipated film 'Shakuntalam' has been out and has gone viral like a storm on social media, making her admirers go crazy.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to Instagram on February 21, 2022, to release the film's first poster, in which she is dressed in an ethereal gown with flower jewelry and sits in the center of the jungle with wild creatures all around her.
Shaakuntalam, a mythical drama, will have the actress in the lead. On Monday, the cast and crew revealed the film's first look poster. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is shown in a sacred grove with deer, swans, and peacocks on the poster. In a white outfit with floral decorations and accessories, the actress looks ethereal as Shakuntala.
Shakuntala is the wife of king Dushyant and the mother of Emperor Bharata in Kalidasa's classic Indian play Shakuntala. While on a hunting excursion in the bush, King Dushyant meets Shakuntala. They married according to the Gandharva system after falling in love.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will portray Shakuntala, while actor Dev Mohan will portray King Dushyanta. In the Malayalam film Sufiyum Sujatayum, Dev Mohan made his debut alongside Jayasurya and Aditi Rao Hydari.

Under the banners of Gunna Teamworks and Dil Raju Productions, the film is directed by Gunasekhar and produced by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju. Dushyanta, the monarch of the Puru Dynasty, is played by Dev Mohan in the film.
