Sidhu Moose Wala murder: 8 suspected sharp shooters 'identified' by police, says reports

Sidhu Moose Wala murder: Eight sharpshooters who reportedly assassinated Punjabi singer-rapper Sidhu Moosewala have been identified, according to a leading portal claiming sources. Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra are said to be the home states of the sharpshooters.

The information came just hours after an accused gangster murderer was discovered to be a suspect in the Moose Wala death.

The accused suspect is alleged of giving the Bolero car used by the shooters to kill Moose Wala on May 29 in Jawaharke village in Punjab's Mansa district.

Sidhu Moose Wala, 28, was shot and killed by a group of gunmen at Jawahar Ke village in Mansa on Sunday May 29, a day after the Punjab government reduced his protection. According to the post-mortem report, his body had 19 bullet wounds and he died 15 minutes after being shot.

Goldy Brar, a mobster stationed in Canada, claimed responsibility for the murder in a Facebook post, and his associate Lawrence Bishnoi, a gang-leader imprisoned in Delhi's Tihar prison, is now being questioned.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi, the former Congress president, is expected to visit Punjab on June 7 to see the family of musician Sidhu Moosewala, according to sources.

Likewise, Sidhu Moose Wala's bhog and antim ardaas will be held in Mansa, with an appeal to the public and youth to wear turbans during the ceremony to honour Sidhu Moose Wala, according to sources.
