Sirjanhaari: Meet Acid Attack Survivor Soniya Choudhary Who Is Now A Make-Up Artist

The upcoming episode of PTC Punjabi’s TV show ‘Sirjanhaari – Samman Naari Da’ will be aired on November 11, Sunday. The upcoming episode will showcase the journey of two inspiring women – Moksha Jately and Soniya Choudhary.

‘Sirjanhaari – Samman Naari Da’, which went on air on September 9, has been getting positive reviews from the audience for showcasing real life stories of women who battled odds to change the world around them.

Here is the synopsis:

Moksha Jately: She is the first woman biker to have completed the Leh-Manali strip in 20 hours and 20 minutes and got her name registered in Limca Book of Records. Besides, in 2017 she completed the all India solo tour starting from Leh on October 2 and ending it at Kanyakumari on October 18 with a message of saving girl child.

The 53-year-old Moksha hails from Hoshiarpur in Punjab. She got married in 1984 when she was quiet young and had a daughter a year later. She got separated from her husband in 1989. She then moved to Chandigarh with her daughter with positive approach in her mind.

Soniya Choudhary: She is an acid attack survivor who is now a make-up artist and a beautician. She was attacked when she was barely 19 years old. She received 55 percent burns on her skin and took several years to come out of the trauma. Soniya overcame the trauma and she is now a confident beautician. She runs her own beauty parlour and takes care of her family independently.
