Actress and BJP leader Sonali Phogat, 42, passed away in Goa early on Tuesday, reportedly from a suspected heartf attack. After her death, her family made hints of foul play, which prompted the Haryana Congress to call for a CBI investigation.
Ramen Phogat, Sonali's elder sister, recalled speaking to her on Monday night at around 11 p.m. during which Sonali said that she was "feeling uneasy" and "was not feeling comfortable after eating her meal."
Ramen revealed to the media that she had spoken with Sonali early on Monday. Sonali told her sister that she was feeling fine and that she planned to go for shooting. When Sonali’s sister asked her when she would return to the farmhouse, Sonali said she would come on August 27.
Sonali Phogat's sister reported that the politician-turned-actress was OK and heading off for a shoot. She let them know that she would be back on August 27. But she didn't tell their mother about feeling unwell after eating until yesterday morning.
Sonali believed something had been manipulated with her food at night when she said there was a "plot being run behind her." Sonali's sister sobbed after learning that she had passed away this morning. The entire family was taken aback by it.
The news of Sonali Phogat's death from a heart attack startled her followers. Sonali Phogat, a popular Tik Tok user, was also seen in the 14th season of Bigg Boss, a television reality competition.
