The whole Punjab was shocked after late singer Sidhu Moose Wala's song 'SYL' was banned in India following a complaint filed by the government. Likewise, singer Kanwar Grewal's song 'Rihai' was also banned on YouTube in India.
While entire Punjab and fans of Sidhu Moose Wala and Kanwar Grewal across the world have been criticising YouTube for removing the songs in India, the Youth Akali Dal is going to hold a tractor march, in a protest against the same.
It may be recalled that Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' song was released posthumously last month and was later removed from YouTube in India. "The content is not available on this country domain due to a legal complaint from the government," the notification on video reads.
However, it was not revealed whether the state government requested to remove the song in India or the Central government.
Days after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s sing ‘SYL’ was removed, singer Kanwar Grewal’s song ‘Rihai’ was also banned in India following a legal complaint filed by the government.
Soon after the development took place, there was a huge criticism against YouTube as the late singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s fans and Kanwar Grewal's admirers were condemning YouTube for removing the song.
Similarly, Khalsa Aid founder Ravi Singh Khalsa's Twitter account was also withheld.
