Top Gun Maverick vs Doctor Strange 2 Global Box Office: Tom Cruise’s recently released film 'Top Gun Maverick' has been dominating the box office with its spectacular performance in the cinemas. The film is a sequel to the 1986 film.

'Top Gun Maverick' has surpassed Marvel's adventure film ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.

Top Gun Maverick vs Doctor Strange 2 Global Box Office:

Tom Cruise-starrer 'Top Gun Maverick' has become the highest-grossing movie of the year at the global box office, surpassing Doctor Strange 2 which earned USD 943 million.

As per Variety, the box office collection of 'Top Gun Maverick is USD 601.9 million (domestic) and USD 595.6 million (internationally). This leads the film’s global collection to USD 1.19 billion.

Besides, Top Gun Maverick became the first movie of the year to surpass the USD 1 billion mark worldwide.

Notably, the record of the domestic collection was held by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet-starrer Titanic. In 1997, the Titanic had collected USD 600.7 million while its subsequent re-releases helped the film generate USD 659.3 million and USD 2.2 billion globally.

Titanic turned out to be the third-biggest worldwide release of all time, reported Variety.

Apart from Tom Cruise, 'Top Gun Maverick' also featured Miles Teller, Glen Powell, Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, and Monica Barbaro.
