Anupam Kher Remembers Satish Kaushik on his 68th Birth Anniversary; Pens Emotional Note

On the occasion of what would have been veteran actor Satish Kaushik's 68th birthday, his close friend Anupam Kher shared heartfelt memories on Instagram. Kher expressed his fondness, saying, "Happy Birthday my dearest #Satish! May God give you all the happiness wherever you are."

Kher reminisced about how Kaushik's presence continues to be felt, whether through pictures, food, conversations, or memories of their time together. He shared updates about their ongoing project "#TanviTheGreat," incorporating Kaushik's valuable suggestions.

In a touching gesture, Kher also shared a video showcasing memorable moments spent with Kaushik. During the promotions of his film 'Kaagaz 2,' Kher ensured Kaushik was remembered by keeping a chair for him at the event.

Reflecting on Kaushik's dedication, Kher mentioned, "It was his (Satish Kaushik) passion project. He was working for 2 years on this project." Kaushik's commitment to his work was evident in his endeavors, with Kher highlighting Kaushik's passion for storytelling based on true incidents.

Satish Kaushik, a stalwart of Hindi cinema, passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 66, following a heart attack. His career spanned four decades, beginning in 1983 with notable films like 'Woh 7 Din' and 'Masoom.' However, it was his portrayal of Calendar in the 1987 classic 'Mr. India' that endeared him to audiences nationwide.

Kaushik's contributions extended beyond acting; he also excelled as a screenwriter and director. He penned the screenplay for the cult classic 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro' and directed popular films like 'Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja,' 'Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain,' and 'Tere Naam.'

Despite his passing, Kaushik's legacy lives on through his work, including his posthumous appearance in the film 'Emergency,' directed by Kangana Ranaut. Satish Kaushik's enduring impact on Hindi cinema and his warm personality will always be remembered and cherished by fans and colleagues alike.
