Arjun Kapoor Reflects on Career Journey: From Negative Roles to Singham Again
Arjun Kapoor, known for his diverse roles in Bollywood, is currently basking in the appreciation for his portrayal of a cold-blooded villain in Rohit Shetty's highly anticipated film, Singham Again. Reflecting on his journey, Arjun credits his mentors, Aditya Chopra and Rohit Shetty, for believing in his ability to portray characters with negative shades.

"I started my career playing characters with negative shades in films like Ishaqzaade and Aurangzeb," Arjun shares. "Now, after all these years, I find myself playing the villain in Singham Again. Aditya Chopra and Rohit Shetty saw potential in me to take on such roles, and I'm grateful for their belief in me."
Arjun expresses his gratitude towards Rohit Shetty, emphasizing how the director's faith in him has been instrumental in his journey. "Rohit Shetty instilled faith in me and has been a guiding force throughout. Being part of his ambitious Cop Universe film as the villain is truly rewarding," he says.
For Arjun, the opportunity to play the antagonist in Singham Again is both thrilling and fulfilling. "I've always wanted to experiment on-screen and offer audiences something different," he explains. "Playing the arch-enemy of the cops in Singham Again allowed me to explore new dimensions as an actor."
The actor says it is thrilling for him to play the villain in Rohit Shetty’s film because it gave him the chance to experiment as an actor too.
Arjun says, “I have always wanted to experiment on screen and give audiences something different to look at. So, playing an arch-enemy of the cops in Singham Again was a thrilling opportunity for me.”
He adds, “As I said, it feels like a full circle in my career when I’m on the sets of Singham Again. I got a lot of love by playing characters that were negative early in my career and I wish to get the same and more with Singham Again.”
