Singham Again: 10 Years After; It's Ranveer Singh Vs Arjun Kapoor in Rohit Shetty's film
Arjun Kapoor is set to play a crucial role in the upcoming film 'Singham Again,' directed by Rohit Shetty. The actor recently revealed his character's menacing appearance in the movie, giving fans a glimpse of the intense and action-packed storyline.
10 years have passed since the movie "Gunday" hit the theaters. The film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, starred Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor as best friends, winning the hearts of many. Over the years, they've become big names in Bollywood.
Surprisingly, after a decade, Rohit Shetty is casting them against each other in "Singham Again." It's quite unexpected! On the ten-year anniversary of "Gunday," Ranveer and Arjun announced their reunion but this time on opposite sides of the law.
Ranveer shared pictures of Arjun on his social media with sweet captions. Fans are thrilled about the "Gunday" reunion on screen. Many have been hoping for it for a long time. Arjun once mentioned that both he and Ranveer would love to work together again. They stay in touch and share the same old camaraderie. Arjun believes that movies like "Gunday," with two buddies in a commercial entertainer, are popular now, and it's inevitable for him and Ranveer to team up again soon.
In the unveiled poster, Arjun is portrayed holding a bloodied machete, with his curly hair and thick beard adding to the foreboding atmosphere. Drenched in blood and dressed in black, Arjun's villainous smile hints at the dark nature of his character. Another image teases a face-off between Arjun's character and Ranveer Singh's Simmba, promising an epic and intense battle.
Director Rohit Shetty introduced Arjun's character as a 'Shaitaan' (devil), further building anticipation for the film. "Singham Again" is the fifth installment in the cop universe created by Shetty, following the success of "Singham Returns" in 2014.
The film, initially announced as "Singham 3" in September 2017, officially adopted the title "Singham Again" in December 2022. Scheduled for a theatrical release in August 2024, coinciding with Independence Day, the movie features a star-studded cast, including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff in lead roles. Additionally, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff make cameo appearances, promising a cinematic extravaganza.
Rohit Shetty, known for his love of shooting in Hyderabad and Goa, completed some of the film's scenes at the Ramoji studio in Hyderabad. Praising the studio's spacious facilities, Shetty highlighted its suitability for the high-octane action sequences characteristic of his films.
"Singham Again" promises a grand spectacle by bringing together the iconic characters of Singham, Sooryavanshi, and Simmba, played by Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh, respectively. The film is set to hit theaters on Independence Day in 2024, offering fans an action-packed and thrilling cinematic experience.
