Box Office Blues: 'Ghoomer' Fails to Cross 5 Crore Rupees Mark in First Week
In the glitzy world of Indian cinema, where the clash of artistic vision and commercial success often takes center stage, the latest offering, "Ghoomer," starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, has found itself amidst a challenging predicament. While the film has received resounding critical acclaim, its journey at the box office has been far from smooth, struggling to breach the 5 crore rupees mark in its initial five days.
Despite glowing reviews and endorsements from notable cricket players encouraging audiences to experience "Ghoomer," the film has been grappling to entice viewers to fill the cinema seats. Analyzing the latest earnings report, as per data from Sacnilk, "Ghoomar" is projected to accumulate a mere 33 lakhs in its daily collections. This projection paints a rather bleak picture, with the film's total collection expected to stand at 4.41 crore rupees after six days of its release.
Delving into the day-to-day box office figures, "Ghoomer" commenced its theatrical journey with a promising 85 lakhs on its opening day, a Friday. The film followed this up with a respectable 1.1 crore on the second day and a commendable 1.5 crore on the third day. However, the subsequent days bore witness to a disheartening decline. On the fourth day, which happened to be a Monday, the film could only muster a meager 34 lakhs.
By the fifth day, "Ghoomer" had managed to scrape together 37 lakhs, and on the sixth day, it faced an even steeper challenge, struggling to attain 33 lakhs in earnings. If this disheartening trend continues, it appears that the saga of "Ghoomer" at the box office may soon reach its conclusion, leaving behind a stark reminder of the uncertainties and complexities that govern the entertainment industry.
