Box Office Success? 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' Grosses Over Rs. 40 Crore in 3 Days!

One of the most eagerly waited movie of the Indian cinema has to be 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' which was released on July 28, 2023. Directed by Bollywood OG director Karan Johar, who made his massive comeback in directing after 7 years of gap. With his last project 'Ae Dil Hain Mushkil', KJo brought us an intriguing modern love story with a gripping tale of romance and drama. 

Box Office Collection

With an utter anticipation 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' received a decent opening on it's first day with a whooping amount of Rs. 10.50 crore. On Saturday, the amount jumped over and collected Rs. 15.50 crore followed by Sunday with even more amount i.e. Rs. 18.50 crore. So, the total box office collection made by the movie in it's first weekend is Rs. 44. 50 crore. With this rapid succession of more than Rs. 40 crore in just three days has brought the movie under limelight as to to be expected to earn Rs. 100 crore within seven days of it's release. 

The 'RARKPK' craze

As per the reactions received by the audiences, It seems people are loving the story that paved a cohesive homage to the classic era of Indian cinema. In few words, 'RARKPK' is chaotic, beautiful and flawed. People are comparing the Ranveer and Alia starrer movie with the iconic Hindi family-drama 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum' of 2001. Even before it's release, the Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer movie gained immense attention for it's glamorously curated romantic musical numbers that took all the viewers to a long lost age of Bollywood, a passionate modern love finely intertwined with the passionate era. All Kudos goes to Karan Johar for bringing the breeze of yesteryears with the brazenness of the new! 

The Monday Fate

As the movie is garnering positive responses from people across the globe, it is expected to do pretty well, if not more than collection it made on the previous days. Monday is expected to gross a wholesome collection of Rs. 6 crore in the North alone. With it's ever increasing jumps on each day, the movie is definitely showing a positive sign. The estimation for the week will be surely depend upon how much it earns on Monday. In-short, Monday will decide it's fate!
