'Dream Girl 2' delayed: Ayushmann Khurrana shares information on social media

One of the most loved movie of 2019 has to be 'Dream Girl' lead by Ayushmann Khurrana. The unique storyline of the movie has intrigued the Indian audience with the actor's unmatched character', Pooja. The creators of 'Dream Girl' are once again reunited for bringing in the sequel of the movie, 'Dream Girl 2'. The new version of 'Pooja' was supposedly come into the cinemas on July 07, 2023 but now the official release date of the movie gets postponed.

The Big announcement

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana took over his Instagram handle and announces the news on Monday morning, 23 April, 2023. The star shared a video featuring an audio note in the soothing voice of 'Pooja'. The note says "Mere priya Aashiqon, Chaar saal baad aapke Dil ka Telephone phir se ring ring hoga. Ab iske liye taiyaari bhi toh shaandaar, dhamakedar aur smoochiebhari honi chahiye na" along with the release date that says, "Dream Gitrl 2 releasing in theatres on 25 August, 2023", accompanied by "Ab #7koSaathMein nahin, Pooja Ki Kiss on August Pachess."

Meanwhile, teasers of the new movie has already planted the seeds of unseen curiosity among the 'Pooja fans'. On the occasion of Eid, a pee-ka-boo moment of the movie was released on Eid, 2023. Mr. Khurrana wrote a caption and quoted, "Apni jaan ke saath Eidi dene ayi hain @pooja_dreamgirl. Swaagat nahin karoge inka. At the same time, the sequel will bring new faces opposite Ayushmann Khurrana including Ananya Pandey.

Directed by Raaj Saandiliyaa and produced by Ekta Kapoor as well as Shobha Kapoor, the movie will also star Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Banerjee, Seema Pahwa and Manjot Singh. Hopefully, the comedy-drama will be a bang on blockbuster of 2023 too.
