Global icon, Priyanka Chopra lauded appreciation to all the the big winners of Indian cinema at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 that included Anasuya Sengupta, the star cast of All We Imagine as Light and Chidananda S Naik.

India has won big at this year's 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Anasuya Sengupta is one of the most remarkable names that has etched her name in history by roping off the prestigious accolade of the Un Certain Regard category at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. She was seen in a lead role in Bulgarian director Konstantin Bojanov’s Hindi-language drama film 'The Shameless'. Marking the historical win at the film festival, the actress has received immense love and support from the Indian film fraternity. Recently, global actress, Priyanka Chopra also heaped praises on her astonishing win for becoming the first ever Indian actress to win the accolade.

Not just this, Priyanka Chopra also lauded the star cast of All We Imagine as Light for winning the Grand Prix at the esteemed film festival and congratulated Chidananda S Naik who won the the La Cinéf Award for Best Short at Cannes 2024 for Sunflowers Were First Ones to Know.

On Monday morning, 27th May 2024, global star Priyanka Chopra took over her Instagram handle to shower the big winners with their deserving love as well as appreciation.  While celebrating the big win of Aausuya Sengupta, PeeCee shared a clip of the actress's achievement on her story and wrote, "Congratulations @cup_o_t on your incredible performance and the history you've created! Onwards and upwards." Her marvelous win truly sparked a new ray of hope for Indian cinema as she is the first-ever Indian actress to claim the Best Actress award for the prestigious category.

Coming up next, desi girl, Priyanka Chopra shared her warmth with Payal Kapadia's whole team for 'All We Imagine as Light.' While congratulating the star cast for winning the iconic Grand Prix Award, she wrote, "It's a moment for Indian cinema at @festivaldecannes. Big shout and congratulations to you all." Mrs. Jonas further extended her congratulations to Chidananda S Naik, who was honored with the La Cinéf Award for Best Short with her 'Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know.'  

Meanwhile, the Cannes Film Festival 2024 marked its 77th edition which ran between 15th and 25th May and left a remarkable mark for Indian cinema on the global stage.
