As Ramayana is one of the biggest epics of its time, the film is all set to embrace a huge ensemble of star casts according to the story's enthralling characters. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Maa Sita, the film has earlier come up with several names of other characters portraying various roles, one among which, Kaikeyi was a character that boggled the Bollywood fanatics with it's leading actor, which spilled none other than Lara Dutta, who has stayed away from the realm of cinema for more than a decade now and now during a recent interview, the actress has finally broken her silence on the stated rumor. Recently, while speaking to a renown media forum, actress Lara Dutta has finally unveiled the truth behind her rumored news of playing Kaikeyi in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film, Ramayana. While speaking to the interviewer, she quipped about hearing the lashing rumors around the industry and said jokingly, "I also like reading and hearing about them so please continue. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of Ramayana?" Continuing further, she remarked on the roles she would have rather loved to play in the Nitesh Tiwari film if truly had been offered. "Surpanakha, Mandodari, I am playing them all," Lara broke in laughter.
Meanwhile, the film will feature a huge ensemble of star cast. In fact the makers have previously announced the onboard of Oscar-winning maestros like Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman for the musical score to make the masterpiece even more grander. Speaking of the entire star cast, it will be led by Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the roles of Lord Ram and Maa Sita, while television actor Ravi Dubey will portray the role of Lakshman, Hanuman will be played by Sunny Deol, Indira Krishna to play Kausalya and Vijay Sethupathi in the role of Vibhishana respectively. However, no other confirmed revelations were made on the rest of the stars. Meanwhile, the movie is expected ti hit the cinemas during the Diwali celebration of the next year.
