Richa Chadha reveals about losing her role to a star kid! See who did she meant?
Bollywood actress, Richa Chadha is one of the most widely claimed actresses of the Indian film industry who is currently riding high with the success of her last release, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, wherein her role had an impeccable impact on the people. After receiving critical acclamation for her role, Lajjo in the SLB series, the makers have launched a fresh track titled Masoom Dil Hai Mera featuring Chadha wherein she nailed the classical dance form with her unmissable moves. Now, recently during an interview, the riveting actress was asked about her role in Heeramandi, which was followed by the actress's further revelation about working in movies while spilling some hot pot beans.
During a recently held interview with a well-known media forum, Richa Chadha was referred for being compared her Lajjo's character of Heeramandi to Madhuri Dixit's Chandrmukhi in Devdas, to which she expressed that "it's something that can't be taught. it comes from within". According to her, this agonizing characterization comes from one's heart, whether while remembering a painful instance or anything one can relate to. Speaking about the same, she took us back to her initial days within the industry when she was treated ill by the filmy dignitaries. She remembers auditioning for a role four times but she lost it either "to a star kid or someone's girlfriend." As per Richa, these cases were tough to soak in as getting rejected is one's darkest dream even after working hard. But, however, the actress did not reveal any such star kids name nor did she remark about the 'girlfriend' situation.
Directed by none-other-than Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it is an all-women starrer Netflix television series that is set in the backdrop of pre-independent India and revolves around the life of the courtesans when they were treated as equals as queens. Starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Sehgal, it is an intense historical drama that takes the audiences around the themes of 'love, power and freedom'.
