'Thank You For Coming' box office collection day 3; Bhumi Pednekar starrer sex comedy is drowning commercially!
One of the year's most anticipated movie 'Thank You for Coming' was released on October 6, 2023. As the Bhumi Pednekar starrer movie was buzzing around the masses with utter excitement, people have accepted the saucy creation for it's one of a kind moving storyline. Earlier, the trailer, film promotions and enthralling posters have done most of the work for igniting the movie goers enthusiasm for it's release. As the starry movie made it's way among the fanatics on Friday, the commercial results are however now seems unlike of the previous hype.

As said, the anticipation was at top tier when not released but the box office collection is however seems skeptical to the wait and eagerness it's 'pre-release' phase has bought up. Led by Bhumi Pednekar, the multi-starrer sex comedy opened with a bare decent amount of around Rs. 1 crore globally while on contrary, the Akshay Kumar's movie 'Mission Raniganj' released on the same day earned a whopping amount of Rs. 12 crore according to the industry tracker Sacnilk. As the chic flick movie has made it's way out through it's first weekend, the commercial results are however don't look satisfactory. After a falling off outcome on Friday, the movie did a little improvement on the weekend, Saturday marked Rs. 1.56 crore and Sunday by Rs. 1.80 crore. After three days in the theatres, the movie has made around Rs. 4.42 crore globally. Although it is ignorable as 'Thank you For Coming' opened in limited theatrical windows and also granted A certificate for it's adult comedy storyline.
Previously, the movie has garnered immense positive acclamations from the critics, as said it is more 'sex and orgasm'. Earlier, the Karan Bhoolani movie made it's way to the TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) where it received a standing ovation for it's intriguing storyline and stellar performances.
About 'Thank You For Coming'
The starry looking movie revolves around five girlfriends where Bhumi Pednekar will lead the character named Kanika Kapoor, who was introduced during the trailer previously. Kanika is a woman in the thirties who struggles in her life, full of chaos and confusion. With four of her best pals, the movie will delve deeper into the topics of love, friendship, sex and pleasure. The unabashed looking ensemble will showcase the relatability of 'not so talked' topics of life such as female orgasm and sex toys and thus surely has the probability of changing the course of woman representation in the Indian cinema. Directed by Karan Bhoolani, the movie is produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. The film also features Shibani Bedi, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Ahluwalia, Sushant Divgikr, and Natasha Rastogi in prominent roles along-with Karan Kundrra in an interesting cameo.
