'Bigg Boss 16' fame Shiv Thakare reveals his experience of facing casting couch'

With his participation in Season 16 of Bigg Boss, which Salman Khan hosted, Shiv Thakare gained enormous renown. One of the show's most physically fit competitors, he was predicted to raise the trophy as the winner. MC Stan, a fellow "Mandali" member and his closest buddy, was the one who abandoned him. He now remembers standing in front of the casting couch in the beginning of his career. Scroll down for more information.

Shiv Thakare remembered being asked to attend an audition in Versova's Aram Nagar while speaking with the publication. After the audition, a producer there requested to meet with the actor inside a "massage centre."

"Yaha par massage centre hai," the director said as he led me to the restroom. I didn't understand how a massage parlour was related to an interview. "Ek bar aap aao yaha audition ki baad," he said to me. Exercise bhi karte hai, please. Since he was a casting director and I didn't want to accept any pangas, I simply left the location. Not Salman Khan am I. However, I came to the realisation that this (casting couch) does not discriminate between males and women, said Shiv.

He related an additional incident in which a woman welcomed him to Four Bungalows and claimed to have launched the careers of several actors. Shiv remarked, "At eleven o'clock at night, she called to set up a tryout. I won't comprehend why auditions take place at night because itna bhola toh nahi hoon main (I am not that naive to not understand her intentions for calling me at night). I therefore informed her that I was unable to attend due to business." He continued by saying that the women had attempted to manipulate and demoralise him by claiming he wouldn't find employment in the pitch. The cautions did not have much of an impact on him, though.

After competing in and winning the Marathi version of Bigg Boss in 2019, Shiv Thakare rose to fame. He had previously taken part in MTV Roadies Rising. Shiv competed in Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 16 in 2022 and quickly won over the audience.
