Anuarag Kashyap's Instagram post stirs controversy; Claims he is tired giving newcomers a 'shortcut', thus writes down his charge rates!
Anurag Kashyap is one of the most sought after filmmaker of the industry who is responsible for making some great fames throughout his career. Actor like Nawazuddin Siddique, one of the many prolific actors of the now B-town insdustry has gained pospularity through Kashyap's glorious movie 'Gangs of Wasseypur', after struggling for many years to keep up in the industry. However, Anuarg Kahsyap's recent post on Instagram stirs commendable controversy as he has blown up the idea of launching new comers as he do not run a charity and discloses to charge money even for a meeting now.
Recently, on saturday afternoon, Indian director Anurag Kashyap has taken over his Instagram handle to share his anger and bashed everyone who keeps on contacting him for giving them support for the glitzy industry. The Sacred Games and Gangs of Wasseyour director has in-fact penned down a cryptic note for the newbies who keeps on coming his doorway for a meeting as he is tired of 'mediocree sh*#" and thus unabashedly stated his charges for different time slots.
In the controversial note, he wrote down, "I wasted a lot of time trying to help newcomers and mostly ended up with mediocre s*it. So Now onwards I don't want to waste my time with meeting random people who think they're creative geniuses. So I will now have rates. If someone wants to meet me for 10-15 minutes I will charge 1 lac, for half hour 2 lacs and for 1 hour 5 lacs. That's the rate. I am tired of wasting time meeting people. If you really think you can afford it, call me or stay the f*ck away. And all paid in advance." While proceeding further in the caption, he cleared the air that it's no joke and quoted, "And I mean it Don’t text or dm or call me. Pay and you will get time . I am not a charity and I am tired of people looking for shortcuts."
Meanwhile, many people seemed frustrated in the comments section. Some of which even cross questioned him that whether he will be now launching only the 'rich' kids, the one who can afford his 15 min of meeting? Well the comments surely seems to make a valid frustration among the middle class strugglers as his charge rates are extremely above one's reach. While his mates and colleagues has expressed the same feeling as Anurag and mentioned that 'I can totally relate with you'. While Kashyap's daughter Aaliyah Kashyap ha also taken the comments section as she wrote, "forwarding this to everyone in my dms and email who keep sending me scripts to forward to you" with a laughing out emoji.
