Babil Khan Faces Backlash for 'Excessive' Sweetness: Labeled 'over-acting ki dukan' by Critics
Son of late actor Irrfan Khan, Babil Khan is one of the most sought-after actor of modern Bollywood who has marked his impeccable caliber in acting through some of the most acclaimed movies and series, like Qala, The Railway Men, and Friday Night Plan. Apart from having a starry start to their career, the 25-year-old actor is also known for his extreme down-to-earth nature that has always caught the attention of the masses people loved the same and many called him the 'dream boy' or more of a 'gentleman' sorts. But now things are getting 'cringe', as per people's slams as they bombarded Babil for doing it 'too much', 'for the camera' and labeled him as 'fake.'
The whole wave of social media trolling started when Babil accidentally photobombed a woman at an event, and under realization, he apologized to the woman a 'little too much' this time. It was a few days back when the video went viral on the socials wherein Babik could be seen casually interacting with the media without noticing the woman who was trying to pose on the red carpet. Right after noticing her, he apologized instantly and stepped back, but his list sorries went on and people caught the same sight as fake and overacting, or more for attention. Even after the 'woman' finishes her time in front of the cameras, Babil feels guilty and keeps on apologizing until the end.
However, when being shared, he was indeed called the same 'gentleman' for which he is known but this time he surely didn't seem to impress the body of fans he has made over the years as certain of people have slammed and trolled the actor for excessive sweetness. One user wrote, "Isko dekh ke pta nhi mujhe itna cringe kyu lgta hai". While another user on Reddit wrote, "Will this guy stop overreacting??? Even she didn't think of it as such a big deal. I know he's being nice but there are too many posts of him being such a chivalrous, down-to-earth guy that it seems phony to me." This was followed by a third user commenting, "trying to fake it". Meanwhile, there are other section of people who have speculated him to be severely depressed and having ADHD. Comments like, "Idk I just think he has severe anxiety issues," "You know I really don't think he's a pick me. I feel like, and I might be very wrong, but he has signs of ADHD which makes him this way. IDK, I just vibe with the guy," has flocked all throughout the socials, from Gram to Reddit.
Talking about their work fronts, Babil Khan made his acting debut through Anvita Dutt's Netflix movie 'Qala' which received a huge critical acclamation from the psychological thriller suckers. Right after that, he was seen leading in one of the 2023's most hot topic Netflix mini-series 'The Railway Men' that was inspired from the infamous Bhopal Gas Tragedy. His sleeves later folded into another Netflix comedy-drama film, 'Friday Night Plan' where he shared the television screen with Veteran actress, Juhi Chawla, and all loved his part, thoroughly.
