Formerly employed as a dishwashing staff at a hotel

Ronit Roy opened up about the early challenges he faced during an interview with 'Dainik Bhaskar.' He recounted his arrival in Mumbai with just six rupees and twenty paise to his name. In those days, he secured a job at the 'Sea Rock Hotel' in Mumbai, where he was entrusted with a range of responsibilities, from washing dishes to cleaning. Additionally, he dabbled in modeling on the side. His maiden paycheck of 600 rupees, earned from the hotel job, was tenderly handed over to his mother.

A Dry Spell of Several Years in the Aftermath of His Debut

Ronit Roy revealed that during his initial days, he attended numerous auditions. Subsequently, he received an enticing offer to star in the film 'Jaane Tere Naam,' which garnered significant acclaim. However, following this success, Ronit encountered a four-year period of joblessness. It was during this challenging time that he joined Balaji Telefilms and began making cameo appearances in various TV serials. It was his portrayal of Rishabh Bajaj in Ekta Kapoor's serial 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' that catapulted him to fame. Following this, he made appearances in several other television shows, including 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,' 'Kasam Se,' 'Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?,' 'Bandini,' 'Adaalat,' 'Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar,' among many others.
