Did you know Neha Dhupia was fired from a show for being pregnant? Here's the actress discloses her personal experience

Neha Dhupia is one of the most enriched actresses of the industry. Although not currently active in films, has a pretty long list of projects she has contributed in the bygone years. Recently, the beautiful diva has taken her fanatics through the long gone years of the pregnancy period where she has suffered hard times working in the industry. Not just with pregnancy but with rather her physical appearance as it is generally tough to survive under the television's harsh standards. Neha has recalled the years of her immense struggle where time and again she was advised to loose some pounds and weight to fit in any role.

Neha Dhupia talks about Bollywood Castings

Recently, during an interview with a renown media forum, Neha Dhupia addressed the harshness of her career and took us all back to the extreme days of her glitzy lifestlye, wherein she has unabashedly disclosed her personal experiences and recalled the moments when she faced remarks about her weight. While speaking her own fleeting experiences, she said, "When I joined the business, there was a stereotypical mold that women were supposed to fit into and if you didn’t fit into that mold, then you are not good enough. Now everyone is so diverse, casting is so real, but you know things still happen. I have been fired for both having a sharp face and not willing or wanting to lose 7 to 10 kg of a body that I thought was super fit in my definition."

Dhupia even talked about the days of her pregnancy when she was fired from a show for being on the 'mother-to-be' stage. "When I was pregnant, I was fired from a show that I was on, and there was no news of that show being shot for the next 8 months. When I went and revealed to them that I was pregnant and told them that they were not shooting for 8 months, they just said no, we don’t want to work with you. I am talking about people who have said and done unreasonable things, but I am ok now; at that time, it bothers you," her words continued. 

Proceeding further with her conversation, she even agreed to the fact that it is indeed a requirement to be able to fit into some specific role, one needs to mould himself/herself for extra agility, specially action packed movies. But she also expressed her joy that she has worked on 'inclusivity' in the industry. She feels thankful that the time is changing ad so the industry's hollow needs and rather includes plz size women's in many new age movies.
