Former FTII President Shekhar Kapur comes from a distinguished family that includes, among others, actors Roshan Taneja, RK Laxman, and Mrinal Sen in addition to renowned directors like Shyam Benegal, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, and Mrinal Sen is cartoonist.
