Laapataa Ladies fame Nitanshi Goel reveals how her parents left their job to help pursuing her career in acting
Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies has become one of the most talked about films of the year so far, and all for the right reasons. The highly acclaimed film was released in March 2024 and ever since has been ruling among Bollywood fanatics like none. The film has interestingly brought back the divorcee couple Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan together on a project, wherein Aamir turned producer for the enthralling comedy drama. Apart from the makers, what truly stole attention was the newbie star cast that made the audience's heads turn with their impeccable screen presence.
One of such lead actors, Nitanshi Goel left a remarkable mark in the film who played the role of Phool Kumari. The 16-year-old actress has recently sat on an interview with a podcast streamer where she could be seen revealing about various aspects of her life and emphasizing her parents who sacrificed a lot for Nitanshi, to let the starlet pursue her career in acting. During the conversation, Phool was asked whether after receiving fame she could do basic teenage things like having a crush, to which she revealed that if there's any love she adores the most is her parents. Speaking about their unfathomable love, she opened up about how many mountains her parents have moved to make her dreams come true.
Talking about her parent's sacrifice, she said, "I just wanted to act and be on TV, and with just that little thought, my father left his business in Noida and he’s here doing a job. My mom left her government job and she’s here for me. All of this was just because I wanted to be an actor."
While speaking about love, she asserted that one should never settle for less and so thus she doesn't have any crush or soft feelings for anyone now. Proceeding ahead, she basked on the love she had been receiving lately from her fans. She said it is her mother, Rashi Goel who is going through her emails these days where the love is she is receiving is unmatchable. She is also enjoying numerous love letter videos of mothers wanting to have a girl like Phool Kumari. "They’re calling me cute names, Phool Kumari, Sajni, they also make National Crush video edits. This is flattering, I love it! I’m enjoying it, it’s cute," she continued.
