Paresh Rawal birthday: Did you know the Heri Pheri fame was once a 'possesive' boyfriend to his now wife Swaroop Sampat
When Bollywood is talked about, one veteran name is always remembered and recalled, and that is none other than the iconic Paresh Rawal. With more than 200 films under his career catalog, the actor has served some of the most impeccable characters of Indian cinema and left everybody in awe with his unmatchable versatility. Today, on 30th May 2024, the well-known fame has turned a year older, and on his special day, let's look back at one of the most enthralling anecdotes of his life, during the days of courtship with his current wife Swaroop Samrat when Rawal used to be a possessive lover.
As Paresh Rawal has wonderfully added another year of life to his sleeves, we are here to take you on an old interview of the actor's wife Swaroop Samrat, with whom he got married long back. During the striking interview, Mrs. Rawal took the interviewer to the old days when Paresh was courting her. She was asked, who among both of them is a more possessive one which she revealed by naming her husband. While speaking about the golden anecdotes of their dating life, she said, "Even during our courtship days, Paresh was the possessive one. He would not like it if I paid attention to anyone else. But now, after many years of knowing each other, he is relatively chilled out." She further asserted the level of seriousness Paresh was even in the initial days of dating. As per Swaroop, he was pretty clear about marrying her. "He said we would only get into the relationship if I had plans to eventually marry him," she added.
During the same interview, Swaroop Samrat recalled about the good old days when they both crossed their paths. It was after seeing Paresh's performance in one of his plays, that intrigued her about his talent and personality. This is when she decided to approach him as an admirer. She said, "I started talking to him. One day, he asked me out for a movie, and then told me that he wanted to marry me. He insisted on a commitment and I said ‘yes’ while thinking baad mein dekha jayega. We started working in the theatre together and I realized we were like-minded despite belonging to different backgrounds. My outlook was more westernized." Meanwhile, the couple got married in 1987 and gave birth to two boys, named Aditya and Anirudh.
