SS Rajamouli and Shah Rukh Khan rank in Top 100 influencers 2023 list

In Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential individuals of 2023, Shah Rukh Khan and SS Rajamouli both get a place. The two are the only representatives of the Indian cinema industry on the illustrious yearly list, which also has luminaries like Colin Farrell, Michael B. Jordan, and Angela Bassett as well as US President Joe Biden and entrepreneur Elon Musk.

The distinguished list honours individuals who have made a substantial contribution to their disciplines and left a lasting impression on society. SS Rajamouli is the first Indian director to do this.

SS Rajamouli, the celebrated Baahubali franchise filmmaker, is listed among the "Pioneers." Rajamouli is renowned for his excellent vision and talent for producing captivating cinematic experiences. Rajamouli later captured everyone's attention with RRR, and the movie even received an Oscar nomination. In addition to these great movies, Rajamouli also directed Eega and Magadheera, making a priceless contribution to Indian cinema.

Riding high on the success of RRR, landed a spot in the list's Pioneers section with people like Doja Cat, Bella Hadid, and Sam Altman. "India is a vast country with various demographics, tastes, and culture," noted Alia Bhatt, who appeared in RRR. 

Salma Hayek, Bella Hadid, Michael B. Jordan, King Charles, and Doja Cat are just a few of the noteworthy people who have been named to this year's list.
