She believed she would embarrass herself and jeopardize the entire film. She recalled how she tearfully explained her concerns to Raj Kapoor, who responded with laughter, saying, "What will I do with you convent girls and your two left feet?"
Despite her apprehensions, Raj Kapoor instructed the renowned choreographer Sohanlal to teach her the "mudras" of the song, avoiding complex choreography. Simultaneously, the brilliant costume designer Bhanu Athaiya crafted a range of sensational outfits, and art director A. Rangaraj created a stunning set. Together, the 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' team transformed the sequence into a magical wonderland.
