International Yoga Day 2022: THIS is how Shilpa Shetty, Malaika Arora celebrate Yoga Day with fans

International Yoga Day 2022: The entire world is celebrating Yoga day today on June 21. The day is celebrated to increase awareness of the importance and benefits of yoga. This year marks the 8th annual International Yoga Day. Yoga unquestionably brings body, mind, and spirit into balance.

The words 'Yoga' were derived from the Sanskrit concepts 'Yuj' and 'Yujir,' which mean 'Together' or 'To Unite.' Several influencers and celebs have taken to their social media accounts and celebrated the day in a unique way. Shilpa Shetty and Malaika Arora who never cease to spread awareness with their fitness videos and Yoga videos have also wished everyone on Yoga Day with the commencement of a new initiative.

Shilpa Shetty took to her social media and shared a video in which she talks about having a LIVE Yoga Session with her fans in which she will not only teach the fans about different Yoga Asanas but will also try to help the people connected with her online.

She captioned the video as, "Through the Artificial Intelligence Motion Tracking technology - when you participate in this challenge - I will be your personal trainer, ‘supervising’ you and watching every move of yours, no matter where you are."

Meanwhile, Malaika Arora has a special message on Yoga Day in which she states, "whether you do Yoga or not, whether you take care of your mental health or not it is always a good movie to start today."

For the unversed, during his speech to the United Nations General Assembly on September 27, 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi first proposed an International Day of Yoga (UNGA).

On December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 to be International or World Yoga Day. International Yoga Day has been observed every year on June 21st since 2015.

Meanwhile, the theme for International Yoga Day 2022 is "Yoga for humanity," which was chosen after great consideration because it accurately depicts how yoga served humanity during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Ayush has also identified 75 places for Union Ministers to participate in the Yoga Day celebrations, keeping in mind the theme of India's 75th year of independence.
