‘RRR’ creates history, becomes first Indian film to bag ‘Best Picture’ nomination at Hollywood Critics Association Awards 2022
SS Rajamouli's directorial blockbuster film 'RRR', featuring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, has become the first Indian film to get nominated for the Best Picture at Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) Awards 2022.
Hollywood Critics Association announced the contenders for the Best Picture award 2022 on Wednesday.

SS Rajamouli's directorial 'RRR' will be up against big Hollywood films like Tom Cruise -starrer 'Top Gun: Maverick', 'Elvis', featuring Austin Butler, Robert Patinson-starrer 'The Batman', Nicolas Cage’s 'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent' and others.

Soon after the announcement was made, the Twitter handle of RRR reacted to the news. The post reads, “Happy to see #RRRMovie nominated for Best Picture @HCACritics #RRR.”
Notably, the winners of the Hollywood Critics Association Awards will be declared on July 1.

RRR was recently released on Netflix in the United States. The film won hearts in the US. A lot of Hollywood celebrities appreciated the film and called it a “masterpiece” and “incredible”.

Notably, RRR has been included in the Rotten Tomatoes Best Films of 2022 list.
RRR featured Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles besides Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in the key roles. The film went on to break all the records until Yash-starrer KGF Chapter 2 was released.
