Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' banned in India; why not 'Haryanavi SYL'?
SYL Canal is indeed a very sensitive issue and it started making headlines again after late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' song was released posthumously. In response to this, Haryana's singer Masoom Sharma released the 'Haryanavi SYL' song.
In a shocking development, Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' song was banned in India while Masoom Sharma's 'Haryanavi SYL' was not banned and it is still running on YouTube.

'Haryanavi SYL' has bagged 1.6 million views on YouTube so far while Sidhu's 'SYL' had bagged one million views within 30 minutes of its release.
Notably, Sidhu Moose Wala's song was removed from YouTube in India following a legal complaint received by the government.

As of now, there is no confirmation on which government, whether Punjab, Haryana, or the Centre, filed the complaint against the song. Likewise, there has been no word from the family of the late singer on the development.
Meanwhile, Sidhu Moose Wala's fans are anguished by the development as they are asking just one thing — if Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' has been banned in India then why not 'Haryanavi SYL'?
Notably, Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' song had bagged more than 20 million views on YouTube before being removed from the platform.
