Reports suggest that Renuka Swami, employed at a pharmaceutical company, had made disparaging remarks about Pavithra Gowda, a fellow actress closely associated with Darshan Thoogudeepa.

Seeking assistance from Raghavendra, also known as Raghoo, a trusted coordinator of his fan club in Chitradurga, Darshan orchestrated a plan to confront Renuka Swami.

On a fateful Friday night, Raghavendra reportedly escorted Renuka Swami from his residence under false pretenses. Darshan, accompanied by his accomplices, purportedly attacked Renuka Swami, initially with a belt. As the situation escalated, the assault intensified, leading to Renuka Swami losing consciousness and subsequently succumbing to the injuries inflicted upon him.

The aftermath of the crime allegedly saw the perpetrators disposing of Renuka Swami’s body in a drain located in the Kamakshipalya area of the city.
