About Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life

The story unfolds in the desolate landscape of Saudi Arabia, where Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer, finds himself trapped in a life of slavery as a goatherd on a secluded farm. Deceived upon his arrival,  Najeeb's dreams of a better life are shattered, and he is subjected to relentless exploitation by his Arbab, or master.

Najeeb's journey begins in his hometown of Arattupuzha in Kerala, where he sought employment opportunities to support his family. However, his aspirations take a tragic turn when he is deceived and forced into a life of captivity in Saudi Arabia.

For two long years,  Najeeb endures unimaginable hardships, surviving on meagre rations and enduring cruel treatment at the hands of his Arbab. His existence becomes a haunting tale of despair, as he feels more like a goat than a man amidst the barren desert landscape.

But Najeeb's spirit remains unbroken, and he seizes a fleeting opportunity to escape when his Arbab is temporarily absent. Fleeing for his life, Najeeb embarks on a perilous journey through the unforgiving desert, facing dehydration and exhaustion along the way.

Najeeb Faces Challenges

Despite the immense challenges, Najeeb's perseverance ultimately leads him to safety, thanks to the kindness of a compassionate Arab who aids his journey. Eventually deported back to Kerala, Najeeb's return marks the end of his agonizing captivity in the desert.

Aadujeevitham not only portrays Najeeb's courageous story but also features a talented ensemble cast including Jimmy Jean-Louis, Talib al Balushi, RikAby, Amala Paul, and KR Gokul. With music by AR Rahman and sound design by Resul Pookutty, the film has left a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.

Aadujeevitham Box Office Collection

Following its remarkable achievement of earning Rs 8.7 crore on Sunday, the film saw a commendable performance in the domestic market on Monday, recording a nett of Rs 5.25 crore. Despite a 39% decrease, the survival drama's total domestic nett has reached Rs 35.55 crore, contributing to a global gross of Rs 64.85 crore.

Through its powerful storytelling and poignant performances, Aadujeevitham sheds light on the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity, reminding us of the strength found in courage and determination.
