Vikram star Kamal Haasan receives UAE’s Golden Visa
What is UAE Golden Visa? Legendary actor Kamal Hassan, who has been making headlines and winning the hearts of the audiences for the success of his latest film Vikram at the box office, has received the UAE's Golden Visa.
On Thursday, the Padma Bhushan awardee Kamal Hassan received a prestigious UAE Golden Visa for 10 years from the Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General, GDRFA Dubai.

Reportedly, the Vikram actor Kamal Haasan was one of the first choices recommended by the UAE administration to get the golden visa, which was introduced in 2019.
However, the coronavirus pandemic and his busy shooting schedule kept him from receiving the visa.

Prior to Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Jayasurya, Prithviraj, and other famous personalities from the South Indian film industry have received the prestigious visa.
In the Bollywood industry, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Boney Kapoor, Javed Akhtar, and Shabana Azmi have been given the golden visa.

Recently, Kamal Haasan was seen in the blockbuster film 'Vikram', that featured Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Suriya in the lead roles. It set the benchmark in the Tamil cinema industry and dominated the box office.
The UAE Golden Visa is a long-term residence visa that ranges from 5 to 10 years. It gets automatically renewed and is granted to winners from various fields, professionals, investors, and those with promising abilities.
