After 18 Years, Sunny Deol & Ameesha Patel To Star In 'Gadar - Ek Prem Katha' Sequel ? Details Here

Superstar Sunny Deol and actress Ameesha Patel might share the screen space together again. If the media reports are to be believed, the hit on-screen Jodi will pair opposite in the sequel of the 2001 blockbuster movie ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’.

Released in 2001, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ turned out to be one of the biggest commercial blockbusters of its time minting around Rs 256 crore after its release. Now, the makers are reportedly working on its sequel.

According to a report in news agency PTI, the makers are set to take Tara Singh, Sakeena Ali Singh and their son Charanjeet's story forward. A source close to the film's production team informed the news agency that the story will move ahead with the India-Pakistan angle.

“We have been working on Gadar sequel since 15 years. Gadar will be story of Tara (Sunny), Sakeena (Ameesha Patel) and Jeet (their son). The story will move ahead with India-Pakistan angle, Gadar is incomplete without it.

“The cast will remain same, like how we have seen in films like Baahubali, Rambo, Fast and Furious, etc. We have discussed the idea with Sunny. We can’t disclose anything at the moment,” a source close to the film’s production told PTI.

‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ became so popular in Punjab that the theatres started filming the first show at 6 in the morning due to audience demand.
