Finally a new release during the times of covid – 19! But how, when the cinema halls are shut? Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is one of the first Bollywood films which will be released during the pandemic on a digital platform.
The lead actors of the film took to their social media handles to share the update with their fans and followers. Amitabh wrote: “Ek izzatdaar janaab aur uske anokhe kirayedar ki kahaani.

Meanwhile, Amitabh has also penned a heartfelt note, comprising his journey of 51 years in the film industry. He writes how challenging it will be to release a film directly on the digital platform.

‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is directed by Shoojit Sircar, who has reunited with his ‘Vicky Donor’ actor Ayushmann and ‘Piku’ star Amitabh Bachchan.
Speaking about the film Ayushmann had told PTI, “Gulabo Sitabo is an extremely simple film. It's a sweet film about the banter between a landlord and a tenant. I'm the tenant, Bachchan sir is the landlord and we are always at loggerheads. It's as simple as that.”
The film was reportedly scheduled to hit the screens in April this year.
