Anupam Kher lauds Mahima Chaudhary for her courage as she disclosed she had breast cancer

Anupam Kher recently posted actor Mahima Chaudhry's breast cancer journey on Instagram. Kher shared a detailed video in which he was seen questioning Mahima about her treatment and how she was currently feeling.

Mahima, who had underwent treatment and had a shaved head, was a little frightened in the video as she described her cancer journey.

The video also shows Mahima telling this story to Kher, who had called to offer her a part in the film. Mahima confessed to Kher and even requested if she could wear a wig on set.

"Surprisingly, ever since I lost my hair to the disease, I have been getting a lot of calls for shows, web series," she remarked. 'Why now?' I thought. 'I don't even have hair now.' As a result, I stayed silent. And I told you because I couldn't lie to you. I  don't know, I just get so emotional," she explained.

Mahima weep as she discusses the treatment, as well as the fact that she had to keep the news from her mother. The Pardes star thanks Anupam for being a pillar of strength while he continues to encourage Mahima that she is a hero.

Anupam Kher appeared in the video near the end and praised Mahima for coping with cancer in such a positive way.

Mahima also stated that when she first learned of her condition, she would cry for days, but that an interaction with a kid who was also undergoing treatment changed her perspective. "I'm in such a wonderful mood. I was suffering and crying all the time till I saw this little boy who gave me strength and asked, 'Arey aapki dawai bas itni hai?' Meri toh itni saari hai " She concluded up the video by assuring everyone that she is much better now: "By the way, I'm fine and completely recovered."

Mahima Chaudhry has worked as a model and acted in a few television commercials in the 1990s before pursuing a career in cinema. She is well known for her role in the 1997 film Pardes, Daag, Dil Hai Tumhara and many others. As stated, she will be soon making her comeback with Anupam Kher’s ‘The Signature’.
