Bathinda’s Sunny Hindustani Wins Indian Idol 11

While Indian Idol 11 is one of the most loved singing reality shows of India, this year’s season witnessed some of the best singers from around the world. This year’s winner Sunny Hindustani won hearts of the audience with his charismatic singing skills and his medley tugged the viewers’ heartstring.

Sunny Hindustani, hailing from a small town in Bathinda, had an inspirational story to tell to his fans. Sunny, earned his bread and butter by polishing shoes in his home town. The Indian Idol 11 winner never really attained any formal musical training because of his poor financial conditions.

Sunny’s mother used to sell balloons to keep the family running after his father passed away. The winner took the social media with a storm by winning the show.

Sunny has been one of the most discussed contestants ever since he walked into the audition round. His voice resembles a lot to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's. The moment he arrived for the auditions, he left the judges impressed.
