Dev Kharoud, who is waiting for the release of his upcoming Punjabi film ‘Blackia’, says the film will remind the Punjabi movie lovers of hit Bollywood films ‘Deewar’ and ‘Zanjeer’, adding that he gained a lot of weight to fit into the role.
While interacting with media persons in Mohali, Dev Kharoud said: “When you will watch the film you will remember Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Deewar’ and ‘Zanjeer’. I also gained a lot of weight to correctly fit into the character as demanded by the script.”
On being asked about copying Amitabh Bachchan’s style in the film, Dev said: ‘As far as my comparison with Amitabh Bachchan is concerned, I would say this is totally wrong. I have my own style and he has his own. He is the living legend and I am nowhere near to him.”
Also starring Ihana Dhillon in the lead, ‘Blackia’ will be the first film to be released under the banner of PTC Motion Pictures and Globe Moviez Pvt. Ltd.
Directed by Sukhminder Dhanjal, ‘Blackia’ is an action packed entertainer. The trailer of the film is releasing at 5 PM today.
The other actors in the film are Arsh Hundal, Ashish Duggal and Rana Jung Bahadur. The film is releasing on May 3.
