Renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is gearing up for his next cinematic masterpiece, 'Love and War,' featuring an ensemble cast of Bollywood's brightest stars – Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. The announcement was made by Vicky and Alia through their respective social media platforms, accompanied by a distinctive slate bearing the signatures of all three leads.

About Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War 

While the specific genre and plot details of this highly anticipated film remain to be under wraps in secrecy, it has been described as an epic drama. Scheduled to commence production in the coming months, 'Love and War' is set to grace the silver screen on Christmas 2025.

This project marks the first collaboration between Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor since their inaugural venture together, 'Saawariya,' which served as the actor's debut film in 2007. Notably, Ranbir had previously worked with Bhansali as an assistant while making "Black" (2005), starring Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan.

For Vicky Kaushal, 'Love and War' represents his maiden collaboration with the visionary filmmaker, while  Alia Bhatt reunites with Bhansali after their successful partnership in "Gangubai Kathiawadi" (2022). Alia's stellar performance in the latter earned her a National Award in 2023, marking a significant milestone in her career. Additionally, this film holds particular significance for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as it will be the first time they shared the screen following their real-life union in 2022.

Alia Bhatt, who won her first National Award in 2023 for 'Gangubai Kathiawadi,' expressed her excitement about collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again. The acclaimed filmmaker has previously worked with Vicky Kaushal, who was initially approached for the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh in 'Padmavat' opposite Deepika Padukone. Despite not taking up the role, Vicky's association with Bhansali appears destined, as he takes center stage in 'Love and War.'
