Heeramandi's Alamzeb aka Sharmin Segal finally breaks her silence on social media trolling and hatred!

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has oozed and whacked the Indian period drama fanatics, especially the ones who long for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's breathtaking grandeur finesse. The whopping drama series has roped off some of the most ethereal characters portrayed by the Indian actresses, and been able to impress audiences like absolutely none. The huge ensemble of female star cast included actresses from the starry front of Indian cinema like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjida Sheikh, Richa Chadha, and cinema's debutant, Sharmin Segal.

People's hatred toward Sharim Segal

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, almost everything about the series has been loved by global audiences but there is a certain section of people, who have raised doubts and concerns about Sharmin Segal's role of Alamzeb in the series which has been termed as 'underperformed'. As per the unpopular opinion of the masses, she was holding the same expression throughout the 8 episode drama Espionage. The social media has outraged her performance so much, that the actress seems to be affected, resulting in her shutting off the comments section of Instagram.

Sharmin Segal opens up about social media outrage

Now after almost a month later, actress Sharmin Segal finally broke her silence on the constant social media outrage and bullying. Recently, in an interview with a well-known media forum, the Heeramandi actress called audiences 'The King' and emphasized how their opinions play a vital role in reshaping an actor's career. As per her, she is soaking every thought and viewpoints of the people, thus she has to be okay with it. "The audience is the king at the end of the day. And as a creative person, it’s very important to acknowledge that. They have a right to their opinion – positive or negative. That’s one thing that gives me perspective and allows me to be okay," her words followed.

Moving on further, she revealed her heart-spilling hard work for the portrayal of Alamzeb in the series. Hence, she is pretty well aware of the underlying positives rather than paying more importance to the negativity around it. She said, "I had given my all to Alamzeb’s character. We tend to fixate on the negatives, but there are so many positives that have also come along, which we don’t talk about. It’s perhaps not interesting enough to talk about positives, and we tend to look over them to some degree." Ahead of it, the actress placed importance on viewers' POV and said, "The audience’s opinion is what will probably help you be the best version of yourself."
