Diljit Postpones US Show After FWICE’s Request. Details Inside

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh was to perform in the US on September 21 at a show in Houston, which the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) claimed was being promoted by a Pakistani national.

According to the reports, the show was being promoted by Rehan Siddiqi, a Pakistani national and FWICE had asked Diljit to cancel it in the interest of sentiments and dignity of India.

Therefore, realizing the extent of the issue, Diljit has cleared his statement about Rehan Sidiqi and decided to postpone the show. He wrote: “I have just become aware of a letter issued by FWICE to me. I would like to state that my contract is only with ‘Shri Balaji Entertainment’. My dealings and agreements is with them only and nobody else that is mentioned in the Federation letter.”

He further continued, “However in lieu of the letter by the FWICE, I have decided to postpone my Houston show at this time. I love my country and will always stand for the greater interest of the nation.”

FWICE in return, appreciates the stand taken by Diljit.
