Love Aaj Kal: ‘He Is Not A Singer, He Is Magician’ Says Fan On Arijit Singh’s Song ‘Shayad’

The first song from Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan starrer film ‘Love Aaj Kal’ has been out on YouTube and the song take you to a different world. Titled ‘Shayad’, the song depicts two love stories, one set in 2020 and one in 1990, resonating with the film's theme of now and then.

The song ‘Shayad’ begins with Veer (Kartik) saying 'Kaise explain karu ki tum special ho' which enrages Zoe (Sara) as she asks 'Role kya hai tumhara' and walks away. It is at this point we hear Arijit's magical voice and the song kicks off.

Shayad's music has been composed by Pritam and the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil. Watch the whole song here.

While the song is a delight to listen to, the video is amazing too. The actors are trying too hard to depict their emotions. Meanwhile, fans poured in their praises in the comments section of the song.

While one of them wrote: ‘He Is Not A Singer, He Is Magician’, the other wrote ‘All those of this era , who have recently fallen in love but couldn't express their feelings would very much relate to this song..... And I don't think any other singer could have done so much justice to this song...... Arijit Singh does't sings the song, he lives and owns it....’

Love Aaj Kal is directed by Imtiaz Ali and is scheduled to hit the silver screens on February 14, 2020. It is a remake of the 2009 film with the same name starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead.
