In a male dominated world, it’s good to see a comedy which put women on the forefront and Simerjit Singh directed Nikka Zaildar feels good on similar lines. Nikka Zailda, that stars Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa in the lead role is yet again a love story which spells ‘laughter’ from the word go.

Despite being set in rural Punjab, Nikka Zaildar carries a rich look. One character that uplifts the movie singlehandedly is theatre actor Nirmal Rishi who plays the ehad of the house and always bears some cartridge with her. With a solid hold on her dialogues, and with the art of getting the punch right, Nirmal Rishi can turn the shape of a film for good, only if a director can extract the art from this fine artiste.
