Ranveer Singh Coming To Mohali For Training Under Kapil Dev For Film ‘83’

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and other star cast of Kabir Khan’s directorial ‘83’ will be in Mohali for few days to get training from former Indian captain Kapil Dev. Ranveer is portraying the character of Kapil Dev in the film which is based on India’s historic World Cup win in 1983 in Lord’s.

According to the reports, the makers of the film have organised a fortnight-long cricket camp for the team in Mohali in April.

Besides Kapil Dev, other former Indian cricketers like Yashpal Sharma, Madan Lal, and other players who have been a part of Ranji Trophies will also be a part of this camp. The cricketers will be giving their inputs and interact with the actors about the techniques.

The media reports also stated that there is also a meet and greet session for the cast at the end of February ahead of the training camp.

Besides Ranveer Singh, the film will star 10 more actors. Punjabi film’s star Ammy Virk, Tamil actor Jiva and YouTube star Sahil Khattar has been finalised by makers.

Ammy Virk is playing Balwinder Singh Sandhu, who knocked out Gordon Greenidge in 1983 cricket world cup final. Jiva is portraying wicket-keeper batsman Krishnamachari Srikkanth and YouTube star Sahil Khattar has been roped in to play Syed Kirmani.

The film is set to hit the screens on April 10, 2020.
