SGPC gives nod to Aamir Khan’s look and character in 'Laal Singh Chaddha'
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s much-awaited film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' has finally got an approval from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).
The film is an official Hindi remake of the iconic Hollywood film 'Forrest Gump' for which Tom Hanks had bagged so many praises.

In the Hindi adaptation of the film, Aamir Khan is essaying the role of a Sikh character for the first time. Aamir Khan’s bearded and turban look in the film has created a lot of buzz around the corner.
Besides, it has won the approval of the Sikh religious body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

The film revolved around the life of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and is set in Punjab. Recently, the makers organised a special screening of the film for the SGPC.
Aamir Khan said that he was touched by the reaction of the SGPC members and that he was so glad that his film touched their hearts.

The sources from the production house revealed that the film was based in Punjab and Aamir Khan is playing the character of a Sikh, therefore, the makers screened the film for the members of SGPC.
Reportedly, the members of SGPC loved the film. The producers said that they had earlier shown the film’s script to the SGPC members before kicking off the shoot.
Laal Singh Chaddha is like the original Hollywood film which shows the journey of the protagonist during major historical events.
