Shah Rukh Khan Completes 27 Years in Bollywood: Here Are Some Rare Pictures Of ‘King Of Romance’

On this day, 27 years ago, Delhi boy Shah Rukh Khan started his Bollywood journey by playing a negative character in Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti starrer ‘Deewana’. Early in his career, Khan grabbed the spotlight for portraying villainous roles in the films like ‘Darr’ (1993), ‘Baazigar’ (1993) and ‘Anjaam’ (1994).

In 1995, Shah Rukh Khan achieved the new milestone after he featured in Aditya Chopra’s romantic-drama ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.  Produced by Yash Chopra, ‘DDLJ’ became the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year, and one of the most successful Indian films in history.

He then went on to work in romantic films ‘Dil To Pagal Hai (1997)’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)’, ‘Mohabbatein (2000)’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (2001). Following his appearance in these blockbuster romantic films, SRK received the tag of ‘King of romance’ from his fans.
