Sikh Community Has Done Great Job, Says "We The Sikhs" Author Kapil Dev
Former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev, who made Indians proud after he led the Indian Cricket team to lift the maiden World Cup in 1983, has recently launched his coffee book titled "We The Sikhs" and the former cricketer has said that the Sikh community has done a great job across the globe.
Kapil Dev’s book WE THE SIKHS’ was released at San Jose Gurdwara in the United States. Bhai Pinderpal Singh Ji and Bhai Harcharan Singh Khalsa Ji were present during the unveiling of Kapil’s book.
Bound in bright red, the book bears a gold inscription marking the title “We the Sikhs around the world”.
"I feel that the Sikh community has done a great job across the world. They are a great example for the world to follow," Kapil Dev told leading News Agency IANS.
WE THE SIKHS’ is a unique coffee table book, which celebrates Sikhism through original paintings, first hand photographs and never published images. The book features three sections – The Gurus, The History and Artifacts and Gurdwaras around the World. It brings alive the world of Sikhs, a community famous for their courage, loyalty and pure living.
Besides, it features shots of over 100 Gurdwaras across the world including from India to USA to London and other places.
