Sonam Kapoor invited to King Charles III’s coronation concert; details inside

Sonam Kapoor at King Charles III’s coronation: At the King Charles' Coronation Concert on May 7, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor will perform onstage alongside legends like Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Tom Cruise. These will include Bollywood superstar Sonam Kapoor, musical act The Pussycat Dolls, and Hollywood star Tom Cruise.

She will introduce Steve Winwood and the special Commonwealth virtual choir in addition to doing a special spoken word performance on May 7 at Windsor Castle, the United Kingdom, during the much-anticipated King Charles III's Coronation Concert.

On May 6, Westminster Abbey will host the coronation of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen Consort, and on May 7, Windsor Castle will host a joyful concert.

The royal family just made the following announcement in a press release: “Buckingham Palace is pleased to announce further details on the ceremonial, celebratory, and community events that will take place over the Coronation Weekend between Saturday 6th and Monday 8th May 2023.”

The Canterbury Archbishop will lead the Service. The Service will, as previously stated, represent the Monarch's current role and look to the future while being grounded in long-standing customs and pageantry, "read the statement from Buckingham Palace.

Anand Ahuja, Sonam's husband, and their son Vayu all reside in London. While this will be Sonam's first appearance with the royal family, Tom attended Princess Diana's funeral in 1997, Pooh was invited to a children's garden party at Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth II's 80th anniversary in 2006, and Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger participated in a pageant in celebration of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee last year.
