WATCH: Akshay Kumar Performs Daredevil Stunt, Sets Himself On Fire
Bollywood’s action star Akshay Kumar stunned the crowd after he performed a live fire stunt on stage in Mumbai on March 5. Akshay performed the daredevil stunt while announcing his digital debut with an edge-of-the seat thriller series, whose working title is "The End".
“Action is within me, I call myself a stuntman first and then an actor,” Akshay said during the event.
While talking about his digit debut, Akshay said: "From the very concept of the show, I am working closely with the team as they create this compelling and highly intriguing story. I can't wait to start rolling for this action adventure series.
"The digital world excited me and I am delighted to make my streaming debut with this show. If I were to make a small confession here, it was my son Aarav who suggested that I make my digital debut as that's what the youth is hooked onto. On this medium, I want to create something extraordinary and connect with them".
On the Bollywood front, Akshay Kumar is currently waiting for the release of ‘Kesari’, which also stars Parineeti Chopra in lead role.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against a troop of 10,000 Afghan invaders.
In the film, Akshay is portraying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh who lead a batallion of Sikh soldiers from the British Indian army in the Battle of Saragarhi.
